Von’s About Us
Legend has it that in 1897 my Great-Uncle, Jake O’Shaughnessy, opened his eponymous and soon-to-be famous Jake O’Shaughnessy’s Saloon in Seattle. It was Uncle Jake’s intent to provide top quality libations to thousands of prospectors who flooded Seattle during the Klondike Gold Rush.
My Great Great-Grandpa was a master cheesemaker, and my Great-Grandpa established the Sunny Jim Peanut Butter Company which was eventually run by my Grandpa. In 1974 my dad, Tim Firnstahl, re-established Jake O’Shaughnessy’s Saloon which became famous when it made the Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest selection of fine spirits.
Now I lead our family business into a new generation with Von’s 1000Spirits. We are pleased to present our scratch Seattle sourdough menu plus a unique collection of over 1000 spirits.
